Planning a Semi-Private or Private Event at Somewhere Nowhere: FAQs

To make planning seamless, we’ve answered the most common questions our guests ask about semi-private and private events. From booking policies to entertainment, catering, and décor, here’s everything you need to know.

Booking & Payments

Q: How far in advance should I book semi-private or private events?
We recommend booking semi-private and private events at least 30–60 days in advance.

Q: What is the deposit and payment policy for semi-private and private events?
A signed contract and 50% deposit are required to secure your event date. The final balance is due 10 business days prior to the event.

Q: What is your cancellation policy for semi-private or private events?
Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations within 30 days of the event are subject to full charges.

Event Types & Group Sizes

Q: What is the difference between a full buyout and a reserved section?
A full buyout gives you exclusive use of the lounge or rooftop. A reserved section designates a roped-off area within an existing event or party—exclusive for your group, but not private.

Q: What group sizes can you accommodate?
We can accommodate parties of up to 15 guests. For larger groups, please contact our events team at events@elgruposn.com for assistance with semi-private or private event options.

Entertainment & AV

Q: Can we hire our own DJ or entertainment?
Yes, for private events, outside DJs or entertainers are allowed subject to approval and technical requirements. Our in-house team can also assist in booking DJs, live performers, and specialty acts.

Q: What AV/tech is available?
Our venue offers a professional in-house sound system, DJ booth, wireless microphones, and TV screens. Additional rentals can be arranged through our events team.

Food & Beverage

Q: Do you provide catering?
Yes. For semi-private and private events, we offer curated menus featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations, and bottle service packages. Custom menus may be available upon request.

Q: Can I bring in outside catering?
Outside food is not permitted, with the exception of kosher catering (advance approval required). Cakes for birthdays and special occasions are permitted with a cake-cutting fee.

Q: Can we customize menus?
Yes, within reason. All food and beverage selections must be finalized 10 days prior to your event. Custom menu fees may apply.

Décor & Customization

Q: Do you allow décor for semi-private and private events?
Yes, décor is permitted but must be pre-approved. Please note that balloons, confetti, glitter, and open flames are not allowed.

Transition to Nightlife

Q: If I host a private event before nightlife, do I have access to the nightlife party afterward?
Nightlife programming is separate from private events. However, our team can arrange a VIP table or reserved section to ensure a seamless transition into the evening. This includes pre-ordering bottles and having your setup ready upon arrival. Guests may also purchase general admission tickets online or at the door (subject to availability). Standard nightlife policies, including dress code and sobriety, apply.
